gutters & vinyl siding
I would like to know if it is possible to install rain gutters with vinyl siding? I replace my hard board siding this summer with vinyl siding - there is no roof overhang. I know you aren't supposed to nail or screw anything through the vinyl siding so my question is how can I attach rain gutters?? ...

Water Heater location question
So I have had my mobile home for 7-8 years now and have not been able to figure this one out so I thought I would see if anyone here had an idea. My mobile home is a 1992 Shulte 16 X 80 3bdrm 2bath. The master bedroom and bathroom are at the rear of the home and the water heater is in one of the wal...

Re: replacing back door
Well I got a new back door last friday and installed it with the help of a friend so I am very happy. I didn't have any problems getting the old one out and thankfully I measured correctly so the new one fit perfectly.
thanks

replacing back door
Well - my back door is falling apart and I really need to replace it. I would prefer to replace it with a normal sized door but am not very handy and would have no clue how to do it. I think I know someone that might be able to do it but I am worried about the siding around the door. My home was bui...

Re: Hot water heater
OK - so a 30 gallon would be enough? I'm going to call this guy before he comes out and see if he has one - I just don't think I need a 50 gallon. I can see that it wouldn't be that hard to install except for the fact that it didn't have any shutoffs - after this time I can probably do it myself. I ...

Hot water heater
My Hot Water heater started leaking friday night and I was lucky enough to get a plummer to come out Saturday morning and put a shutoff valve on the water inlet so we could shut the water off for the weekend. It was 14 years old so it was probably time - but why did it have to happen right before Ch...

furnace room soundproofing
I have a 14X70 MH with the gas furnace in a space the size of a small closet. The door is just one of those cheap closet doors with a vent at the top. What can I do to reduce the level of sound coming out of the door?? Most of the furnace noise is coming out that door. I am assuming that I just can'...

cost to replace siding
I've got a 16X76 MH built in 1991 that has the wood siding that is disintegrating! I know there must be damage underneath that will need to be fixed but can someone give me a rough idea what it costs to remove the existing siding and replace it with some vinyl siding assuming there is no damage unde...
