Let's try this, I have,
9.6 kw element =33,450 btu 40 amp
blower motor 1/4 hp, max mtr FLA=2.5
new 2 wire thermostat.
24v sequencer 2 stack for motor and elements only.
240volt system
No a/c on this heater.
What is the proper transformer va rating I should be using? 240/24/ ? va

A note for Robert. Back in 2009 I rewired the heater in my old house with your help. Just wanted you to know it is still working perfect and has not had one problem since. We have bought a new home since and my sister-in-law is living in the old place. Thanks again for all your help.

The old one is gone. It is one of the two parts that were scavenged. We never saw the old one. I would imagine a smaller one would be good since the only thing it will drive is the small sequencer and thermostat but, if it is too small it will burn up, too, right?
