RE: All my hexes live in Texas. . . (you go #24)
Tell ya what, Yanita -- I'm not sure how to take Tony now that he's gone corporate. Can't wait for him to really show us his stuff this season while he's picking up points. And Jimmy Johnson is looking real scary -- like he'd ever assimilate that TStewart bad boy persona. . . unshaven as JJ may be t...

Greg, you are my hero!!! However did you find this? (I couldn't even find anything to identify this doorhandle thing as a Kwikset; and I wasn't having any kind of luck surfing for answers). Once I knew where to poke and prod, what was left of the mechanism came apart with ease. (now to locate a repl...

Hello Brenda. Hello Greg. Thanks for the speedy reply. I got out my trusty flashlight, Greg, and with or without my glasses -- there is no button to push on this darned doorknob. Brenda, it does look like I might be able to pop the center out of the door handle -- but with even my finest screwdriver...

RE: 6 x 12 greenhouse for starting plants
Hello again. The sun has decided to come out and melt some of the snow we had overnight! What joy! I went out to survey the dog kennel and measure to find out how much plastic I will need to cover it well. I haven't been up to the barn in months (too much snow), and thought this was my chance. Yanit...

Hi -- I'm looking for ideas, too. I hope you post your pictures, NMBowtie. . . sounds like the look I'm hoping for -- and one I can tackle myself. Have you done anything with your floors?

Wow! What great ideas. I have an unused dog run/kennel behind my house, and you have given me some great ideas for turning that into the greenhouse of my dreams! It is powder coated chain link, with a door . . . cover that in plastic. . . all that's lacking is water on that side of the house. I look...

doorknobs, etc. . . .
Hi. . . my dad has a double-door into his bathroom. The latching mechanism (that appears to be plastic) has simply disintegrated. I would like to replace this with a lever because he has trouble with the knobs. Looking at the knob, I don't find any screws or any way to even remove the existing knobs...
