Re: Leaky Window

Brenda, that is a great idea, I never thought of it. I will throw some tape or something up there to try to deflect the water. It is a constant drip. I think I see the problem where it is coming down off the roof, then down the siding. It is on the living room window.

Leaky Window

Okay, I have a leaky window in my 96 doublewide. The leak is in the inside, we have lived here since april of last year and have not had any problems. I looked on the other messages and have come across where people mentioned that it could be from the shingles or along the window trim on the outside...

He took the old board with him. I keep looking but I am not finding where their is moisture getting in? We haven't really run it much since it has been fixed but as of yet no blowing fuses. We didn't notice the wire at the condenser until after the board was replaced. I believe it is under warranty ...

We have seen on the cover over the control board where it looks like water stains (per the tech) however, we have checked during multiple rain storms and have not seen any leakage? I am wondering if it because the previous owner did not shovel the roof around the vents and that lead to snow melting ...

Okay, the part that he mentioned to block off was a cylinder that is at the top of the heater? It is upon looking at the internet indeed the blend air system. I was wondering if it was just the short from the ac unit that was blowing the fuses? We never had a problem with the heater before trying to...

RE: Gas water heater pilot going out?

I had a tech over today because he was replacing the heater control board and he mentioned that it is probably because the gas heater vent pipe is not long enough. He mentioned that putting on a bigger pipe would probably take care of this situation. He says with doublewides around here it is a comm...

Okay, I broke down and paid the $300 to have it done because I could not find the problem and didn't want it to end up blowing out the new board. The tech traced the short to the central air unit. The previous owner (was an idiot) took the live wire and had it shoved into the top of the ac unit. So ...

Gas water heater pilot going out?

we have a 28x58 (I believe) double wide. It is a 4 bedroom and we love it. The only problem being that on a windy day the pilot light on the gas water heater keeps blowing out. There are days when it has gone out a few times. Then a month will go by before it happens again. I was wondering if it was...

RE: heater control board questions

Yes, the tech has replaced the fuse. What happens is the heater will kick on then when the blower is going to come on (I believe) then it blows the fuse. It works great the first week we were there so I am not sure what happened since then? What is the control board number that I need and how much i...

heater control board questions

We have a 1996 Doublewide that has a coleman evcon heater and central air. This has gone out and we had a service guy over and he stated that the control board is bad. We had used the heat since we moved in for about a week and then it quit. It is blowing fuses shortly after the blower kicks on. He ...

Believe it or not we use 2 electric fireplaces and it keeps our home nice. We use these on not so cold days and keep our reg furnace turned down. I think we got one on clearance for around $100 and paid around $200 for the other. They have mantels and etc.

RE: What new computer should I purchase?

I have had an emachines w3609 with Vista and we love it. In fact, it was my wife's and I liked it so much that I bought me one of ebay. I do not however upgrade my systems so I can not say how the power effect would be. We also have purchased two dell laptops recently. My wife has the Inspirion 1315...

We went with foremost. Our primary for auto is USAA (my wife's father is military) but they partner with Foremost for mobile home insurance.

We went with replacement value.

Double wide or manufactured home or the same?

Okay today we looked at a 1996 home. It is a 4 bedroom 2 bath home. It has the usual peak above the door, shingled roof and vinyl sided. Under neath the skirting it is sitting on metal beams. How is this classified? This will be in a park if we purchase it. Is there any other insurers that insure ho...
