Leveling service in Eastern Arkansas, desperate.

Does anyone know of a legitimate re-leveling service in Arkansas, preferably around the West Memphis Area. My house is so out of level there is a big hump in the middle since the last rain and I'm afraid that it will break in half if I can't get it leveled. I can't get the mobile home dealers to say...

Re: Reinstalling the shower insert

Thanks Greg. I'll put down waterproofing before installing the shower. I'm not sure how to install the slip joint though, as there is no access to the drain area. that may be why it was just dropped into the drain pipe.

Reinstalling the shower insert

Due to water damage from a leaking AC last summer, I had to repair the floor in the master bath. I pulled out the one piece fiberglass shower unit with no real trouble, as it has battens and screws attaching it to the wall. I'm now ready to reinstall the fiberglass insert. Should I put a water proof...

Re: HVAC repair in Memphis Area???

I couldn't get under the house last month due to back problems. I finally got a company to come out even though they don't normally do mobile homes. Their guys removed the old crossover duct and replaced it, and hung it up off the ground where it should be. It had three large holes in it. You could ...

HVAC repair in Memphis Area???

Anyone know of a company in the Memphis area that will do work on mobile home ductwork? I tried the local one in AR and they say everything is fine while cold air pours out under the home in summer and heat pours out in winter. Over a year with $300 to $450 electric bills! I can't get any of the HVA...

Leak under the shower

I had water coming in the master bedroom from outside and in order to be sure where the leak was, and how bad the moisture problem was I got a moisture meter. Turns out the leak didn't do much damage and I only have to replace a small section of subfloor. However I didn't leave well eough alond and ...

Thanks Greg. Then there won't be any problem with leaving that bit of damaged subfloor that is stuck under the walls ? I was worried that the walls might some how sink down in the corner. There is only about 2 feet of water damage along both edges. I'd rather sister in a joist and a couple of cross ...

Window leak? subfloor repair

I'm in the process of replacing carpeting and I found water damage on the subfloor. Its under a window and next to an outside corner. I also found water damage on the drywall which looks to be wicked up. I've removed the damaged drywall and I'll have to remove and replace the damaged OSB subfloor as...

Thanks Yanita, I would like to see that pergola. I was thinking about some kind of shade structure on the front of the house as that is the west side and gets full sun all afternoon. This is my third year in the house. Its windy here from October through May. Then hot and muggy the rest of the year....

Dang! That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping because it was blowing air outlike the rest of the vents when the blower was running it was just connected wrong to the blower.
Thanks.

Landscaping, porch and deck pictures or plans

Hi there, I'm in the process of landscaping my property, 1 acre of flat former farmland and I'm looking for ideas slated toward mobile homes. Something to make my home look more established and not looking like it was dropped off in a field. I'm also interested in anyone's pictures of porches or dec...

One cold vent.

I have a double wide with an Intertherm electric blower and a heat pump. All the vents are warm in winter with the exception of the master bath vent. It blows cold air. The air feels like its coming from outside when the blower is running. When the blower is not running there is a slight draft with ...
