I just had to put plywood under both frig. and wash/dryer. I went the other way with the wash/dryer though....I took out a stackable and went side by side...almost 1/2 the price.

Re: Controling Bugs...Help!
What do you use for bug bombing underneath? I have vents in my skirting, do I need to close them off if I 'bomb' it?

Controling Bugs...Help!
I am getting earwigs and other undesirable critters invading my space. What is a 'good' product that I can use for pest control? I tried Ortho Home Defense around the outside, but they still keep coming in.

Re: Tie Downs, How tight?
I wonder how many people actually do adjust these 2x a year? If ever!

Tie Downs, How tight?
I have noticed that my tie downs have considerable slack in them. Do these need to be adjusted from time to time? I live in central Wisc. and we do get frost. How tight should I adjust them?

Re: Poly -> PVC -> Poly with sharkbites
JD, is the little adapter/bushing which fits inside of the line on Sharkbite fitting going to be large enough dia. to seal on CVPC? I think there is an ID size diference from PEX to CVPC?

I would NEVER again use the couplings that Brenda (sorry Brenda!) referenced. I used them once and the end blew off and flooded my MH. I had them as tight as I could get them.

Re: infestation of asian lady bugs - help!
I had the same problem last winter! This fall I had a Pro come out and spray all around and under the MH.......this winter/spring I had maybe a handful at best. It cost me about $100 bill.

Re: Hot water Heater
Here is a little trick that a plumber friend taught me. Sometimes the elements are so rusted up that the wrench just slips when you apply a lot of torque to it, so if you take a cold chisel and hammer to the hex on the element, give it a couple of good hits and it will eventually free up.

Re: Another fozen pipe question, wierd one though.
I hope you got the pipes thawed out by now, but just in case, A trick that I found is to put a fan in front of a plumbing access hole on one end of the MH and blow warm air into the space under the floor. Open all of the under sink cabinet doors and plumbing access holes and crank the thermostat up....

Wonder how the 'Bites' compare to the Menards 'Watts' fittings? Good,
Bad, or Ugly?

RE: Sealer for new flooring
I did lay these pretty tight, so the seams are minimal. I just wonder if a sealer would do what I want....just keep water and dirt out.
Menards should carry something........just wondering if any other MH owners had a good recomendation!

Sealer for new flooring
I have installed a vinyl tile floor which is 12” x 12” squares with the self stick backing. Is there a clear sealer out there that I could use to prevent water and junk from collecting in the seams?

RE: Putting steel wool around excess holes
I think they are factory installed like this. When I had a water leak last summer I had to open up the underbelly to dry out the insulation and there were no previous cuts in the liner. Don't know if you remember the old joke about getting a lemon car that was either built on a Monday or a Friday, w...

RE: Putting steel wool around excess holes
Thanks to JD and Greg for the reply's! The air ducts in my MH run close to 1 of the long steel beams and the water lines run close to the "other" steel beam, not sure this qualifies as close. I am not sure that I want to add insulation at this time, but is probably needed. I have a lot of ...
