Your best bet is to buy Mark's DVD on that. It does a wonderful job on explaining and showing you how to do it correctly. I am glad I bought it. And they are wonderful people to work with!

I love my garden tub. The looks of it anyway. I never ever use it. I dust it at least once a week. IMHO, it is a waste of space. Mine is long enough to lay down in if you bend your legs and deep enough for about chest high. Cold as the dickens though cause there is no curtain around it. Oh and the m...

I have helped a friend of mine with an older single wide "seal" her particle board floor due to the same pet issues from previous owners. We just used wood varnish. It helped with the smell and the sealed the entire room! Good luck!

Mine was a swing type door. I guess it really didn't have the bottom tracks, just a bottom rail that got really dirty. I LOVE to shop.....guess that is what I will have to do.

tornado damage

Last week we had a FE3 tornado go through and all that was damaged at our place was the shower door. It totally shattered. They tell me it was due to the pressure. I removed it, took the tracks off and hung a curtain. We have a shower stall with the two seats. My husband HATES the curtain and would ...

We priced one out about 4 years ago and they wanted $40,000 for the basement. That included the extra support beams, crane, everything. We have a double wide 24 X 58. We didn't think it was worth the money so opted for a breezeway attached garage with a storm shelter under the breezeway.

Oddly enough I have the same lump in my kitchen. I do know for a fact that mine is directly above a pier. Ours is not as drastic as yours reads to be. I can live with it. And so did the laminate that we put in. Mine started about a year after we were there and hasn't "grown". It is on the ...

I am not sure if this will help you or not. My mother put those in herself. She used them in her basement and they look wonderful if done correctly. She did glue them with a carpet glue of some sort. She put them directly on the concrete floor. No padding. If it were me, I would do it. If you can ge...

Not a new shower unit. Hoping to turn the garden tub into a shower unit. On what I have been reading, tileboard apparently is not the best option here. I would need to put in a shower head (the kind that are on a pipe) I really don't know how to plumb at all. I would also need to make the two walls ...

Garden Tub surround????

I am thinking of making my garden tub into a usable space....we don't like the tub. I would like to make it into a shower if at all possible. I would need to remove the mirrors. Then I was thinking maybe using tileboard? Anyone have any suggestions on something better or have any experience with til...

You can try Goo Gone or cooking oil. Let the cooking oil sit for a while and try to wipe clean. Follow instructions on the Goo Gone bottle. Not sure if it will ruin the finish of the plastic or not. I know the cooking oil won't. Good luck!!

I thought you were talking about the tub drain. The shower drain is different. Mine just pulls straight up. The first time is pretty difficult to release it, but all you do is grab and pull...sorry about the misinformation!
