Re: Intertherm mgh-055-abwl-06 flame flutters
I have a couple of buddies that are techs. They said a crack is possible but doubtful because its not putting out any co's. The thing flutters even before the fan comes on. Its like its smothering itself. They're both stumped. I guess the next move is to pull it out and inspect it. Is there any kind...

Hold the door all the way open and it dosent do it at all. Checked the roof stack and its clear. Any ideas? The flame i...

RE: connecting old poly to pex
I've got 4 sharkbites in my house and 1 under ground. They work great, been there for a good while, no problems. Just give the internal o-ring a shot of WD-40 to prevent damaging it. Thats the only problem I ever had with them.

The Home Depot and Lowes here in Ga have a MH section. I got stainless drains with the giant nuts there for mine, I dont like the cheapo plastic ones.

RE: flooring choices
I've got it in the kitchen, hall and 1 bath. I did the kitchen a couple years ago and then a pipe busted under the dishwasher. Killed the sub floor but the laminate held up real well. Of course the ins. co cut me a check and I replaced the sub floor with real plywood and new laminate. But the old stu...

RE: Shark Bites work on Gray Pipes!!!!!
yes they will work fine and stay there if done right. I cut the pipe, clean and sand any burrs off it, then a tad of wd-40 on the o-rings to prevent them from breaking and snap it together. I have 5 inside, and last summer a root broke the main line to the home and I dug it up and fixed it the same ...

RE: Advice for not a do-it-yerselfer?

So as i ripped out all the mushy sub flooring I dropped a block about every 8 feet throughout the kitchen floor insulation a...
