gas oven question
So I finally put on gloves and cleaned the gas oven....the one that had evidence of a mouse having been in residence at some time or other on the very bottom, where the broiler is.... And then I fired it up. You can put your fingers through these vent like openings that lets the heat into the oven. ...

RE: why is everything different in a mobile home?
Robert, To replace the whole bathtub faucet can I just go to Menards and buy a regular house type bathtub faucet like I did when I replaced the kitchen faucet, or do I have to buy a bathtub faucet especially for a mobile home? I feel like yesterday was just an especially bad day, worked eight days i...

why is everything different in a mobile home?
Like plumbing? I just wanted to see if the constant drip from the bath tub faucet was something easy, like needs a new o ring or washer or whatever.....took the handles off....left with this.... [img] And I cannot get those metal sleeves off....so I snap a picture and go over to the mobile home repa...

RE: Roof Rakes?
So that's the way it works.....if you buy it you won't need it.......then along with that roof rake I should get a top of the line snow shovel and a lifetime supply of snow melt salt stuff.....and it'll be like I'm back in California......

RE: underbelly nightmare!!!!
Hey Kat,
When you say rolled insulation, are you talking about the pink insulation with no backing? Could you get the kind with paper or foil backing and staple it in from underneath? Or is that what you are already trying to do? Sherry

RE: underbelly nightmare!!!!
nylasmom, I so admire you for even venturing under your mobile home! I recently bought an "as is" 1974 New Moon, and I have only seen the insulation from the "tearing up some hallway floor" point of view....(and the insulation looked okay, thank goodness). But I just wanted to sa...

RE: Roof Rakes?
Yanita,
That sounds like a plan to me. I'll get a roof rake to have on hand and wait and see if I need to use it. Maybe the wind and sun will take care of it most of the time, like you said, and maybe I won't have to do this unless we get 8 inches at once.
Sherry

RE: My day off, "handyman", and living in Green Ac
I didn't know that they didn't do any work, but now that you said that and I looked in the yellow pages, I see it is listed under "Manufactured-Mobile Homes-Parts and Supplies".....I guess I was thinking maybe they had people who work for them that do repairs. But right under that there is...

RE: My day off, "handyman", and living in Green Ac
Robert, The hallway got done in that OSB type stuff..... and I know that it will probably have to be redone someday, but for now, atleast I can walk down the hallway without falling through the floor.... it took me three different guys to get down the hallway....an expensive lesson, the handyman, my...

RE: Roof Rakes?
Yanita and Barb, Thanks for your answers. I'll put getting a roof rake on my to do list and check the local biggy, Menards, for one. Hmmm....I distinctly remember the conversation with the gal who I used to work with about how I sold the house I had because of all the snow shoveling and grass mowing...

Roof Rakes?
Just read a post about roof rakes? You mean we have to shovel snow on a mobile home roof??##!! :-) How? Can you do this with a roof rake from ground level, or am I going to need a ladder? What kind of places sell roof rakes, and what do they look like? How much snow can be up there before you have t...
