RE: Is it normal to freak out?
When I bought my 16 x 80 mobile 10 years ago, I had to get a 30 year mortgage to afford the payments and lot rent, so I won't be paying it off any time soon. That said, my house payment, lot rent, and insurance payment are still waaaaay less than I'd be paying in rent for a 1 bedroom apartment and I...

RE: The librarian just dissed me!
The development I live in calls itself a mobile home community, but the residents don't own the lots. Many of the homes are now property of the community owner and are rentals. I think they call it a community rather than a park because in this touristy coastal area, the mobile home parks are genera...

Woo Hoo!!! I'm your first follower. I read twitter, but don't post many tweets myself. I find it's a good way to keep up with news and such. You wouldn't think so by looking at my site though.

RE: It's almost tax time! Whoohoo!
Hi Teresa, Yeah, I'm planning to use my tax refund for repairs. I've had a ceiling/wall line leak for a while that's ruined a spot in my dining room floor and the framing under the window in the dining area. My handyman is supposed to be giving me a quote on gutters to solve the leakage, as well as ...

I turned off the main wather shutoff and removed the cartridge and ran to Lowe's. Of course the mobile home supply store in the area was closed for the holiday. They didn't have anything close, so I went down the street to Home Depot...bupkus. The handi-helper at Home Depot suggested I just change t...

shut off valve issue
Call me a ditz, but I can't seem to turn the red handle enough to turn off the water. These are located under my master bathtub (garden type) as well as near my washing machine and I can't turn any of them enough to close them. Is there a trick to it? Perhaps that white part that looks like a screwd...
