What Renters or Contents Only Insurers do you recommend
We rent a mobile home and the owner has Insurance on the structure itself, but we need coverage for contents. What Insurance companies provide Renters or Contents Only coverage for mobile homes? I have searched google but most just point back to actual homes or apartments for renters.

Robert, Here is what I have done so far and the current situation. Since the Fan relay tested bad I replaced it and it did take care of the blower fan running constantly but the breaker for the AC still kept tripping. I figured this would be the capacitor not holding enough charge and the AC pulling...

RE: Outside fan not running, inside fan won't stop running
Robert,
Thanks so much for the through reply. I will have to check the items you mentioned when I get home later. Can you please give me ordering info so I can have a rough figure in my head, if it is not too much to ask? Thanks again

Redownloading Manual
I bought the Mobile Home Repair Manual a while back. Due to a computer crash I lost ( I know, back up, funny seeing as I work in IT and I did not back up my files) the manual. I have contacted Aberdeen a few times and each time was told they would send me another download link. This has been a month...

I would really look at replacing the tub instead of patching. Long story short I tried to patch a crack in a bathtub a while back and it seemed to work well. Never saw any cracks in the patch. Started to see mold on the walls and bought the replacement fiberglass tub. Now I am having to restud, cut ...

Doing your own work and Home Owners Insurance
A brief history. We live in a 54x27 1995 Fleet-wood Double-wide. We have lived in the home since 1997 and a few years ago had a mouse get in and die under the Garden Tub in the Master Bath. I took out the tub, removed enough of the sub-floor to get the mouse out. This was about 3 years ago. I replac...

RE: Lowering Ceiling for Better Insulation
Great points you all have made. The added weight would be a huge concern. Sounds like I would be better off using that money to plant some shade trees by the house, right now my house is directly exposed to the sun on the east side from morning till about 3pm. Also going to upgrade to some better wi...

RE: Lowering Ceiling for Better Insulation
Bob thanks for the welcome, and the fast and thorough response. I am mainly concerned about heat/cool air loss, We have fans in all rooms of the home right now. I really got concerned with energy efficiency this summer as our AC unit would never turn off and still would only cool to 78-80 degrees, i...

Lowering Ceiling for Better Insulation
Hi all, I have a 1995 Fleetwood, 54x27 DW that has the peaked ceilings. While replacing a light fixture this summer I noticed there is only about 6 inches between the ceiling and the roof of my home. I also noticed how extremely hot it was in that area between the roof and ceiling. After looking at ...
