Re: TrafficMaster Allure Ultra Flooring
boatwreck, We put this flooring down in our den, living room and dining room about 2 1/2 years ago and love it! It was easy to install because you only a utility knife to cut it. Almost every person that comes in our house does not believe that it is vinyl and they actually get down on their hands a...

RE: Need some Garden Tub Feedback!
married, Something you should probably consider is...what size hot water heater do you have? We have a garden tub and originally had a 40 gallon hot water heater and had no trouble filling the tub with hot water. However, when the hot water heater went out in the dead of winter, all Lowe's/Home Depo...

flcruising,
Nice house! Thanks for posting the picture. Your house looks like it is a newer modular instead of a double wide? If so, I can understand how you have an attic. We have vaulted ceilings throughout our house and so that is why we are thinking that we don't have an attic space.

flcruising,
Thanks for the response. Do you have any pictures of your house that you could post? I am still having a hard time picturing where an attic would be in a mobile home.

RE: Shading the house - with mesh tarp
flcruising, Thanks for responding to my question in regards to the reflective shingles. You said that you upgraded the blown in insulation in your attic...how did you get into your attic? We have vents in our soffits all around the house but am clueless how to get to the attic. Any suggestions? Thanks

Reflective shingles
We are going to have to replace our roof this summer so I have been researching different options. We thought that we wanted to go with the stone coated metal until we got an estimate for $20,000.00 to do our house and garage  Needless to say, we won't be doing that! I have been doing some re...

Trudi,
I figured that is what you were doing...I have to admit that there have been times that I wanted to do that myself!

RE: Putting laminate flooring in home
DigitialDreams, I just wanted to put my 2 cents worth in. About six years ago, we put laminate down in our kitchen, laundry room and guest bathroom and although it looked nice...I hated it! It showed EVERY water spot, and EVERY crumb. I am sure that it would have been a whole different story if we h...

RE: who refinaces dbl wides?
sonboy36, I feel your pain! Several years ago we wanted to refinance and take advantage of the lower interest rates and like you, we have an excellent credit rating, but as soon as they heard the words "mobile home" they immediately said that they weren't interested. I called every bank an...

RE: Pictures of remodeled kitchen
ms vg, Thank you! Our countertops are High Definition laminate from Wilsonart and the pattern is Bella Capri. The backsplash is mosaic granite tile in Giallo Veneziano that matches the countertop perfectly. The flooring is resilient vinyl tile from Cryntel purchased from Lowe's. It is a peel and sti...

RE: Pictures of remodeled kitchen
Thanks Trudi! I liked my kitchen before also, but it was time to replace the ceramic counter tops; we didn't intend on replacing the cabinets but when we took the counter top off, it looked as if the cabinets would collapse like a deck of cards if we took the furring strip off the wall...so one thin...

RE: More pictures of our kitchen remodel
Thank you Rhonda,
I didn't get a change to answer your question last week about the cabinets. No they aren't original. When we originally started working in the kitchen, we were just going to replace the countertops...but you know how that goes!

RE: Paintable wallpaper?
Hi klm9707, Before we redid our kitchen, we put up the paintable wallpaper from Lowe's. We removed the strips and filled the gaps with mud and then primed the vinyl wallboard and hung the wallpaper and painted it once it was dry. Then we put a border on top of it. I loved it!! I hated to rip it down...
