Re: Buying a new electric water heater

1. Turn electricity off to the water heater while you are working on it. Always. 2.Turn the water off coming into house. Drain water heater completely. There is a element at the top and bottom if there is two. The drain plug is at the bottom of the tank. There is a tool that you can buy when you pur...

Re: Super Bowl 45

Just be thankful you don't live within six miles of the host stadium. I don't care who plays or wins, love football, but this is a joke. Everyday is something different to get ready. My daughter works on the same street the sadium is located and they are a 7 day company, they have been asked to relo...

Re: Camuoflage siding

I was over there about two weeks ago to pick up drain for shower and I thought I had walked into the deer blind area. It looks that real in person. I just laughed as with you I could just see some home somewhere with this on the bottom. Only if you are planting bushes that would cover it at all time...

Also forgot to ask about heat strip heating? I have seen that in some ads. Have no clue and I at least want to understand before I go calling everybody.

New Unit

I was visiting my aunt this past weekend and her home was cold. We live in Texas and we have had a heat wave that is not letting go. I ask about her ac unit she has a all in one unit outside. The ac and heat are all in one and the ducts run under home and hook up to the duct work already under there...

RE: Hey you Quitters ot there...

Well here we are going on our 3rd week and neither of us has had a smoke. The last time I did this was back in 1998. I quit for 9 months but I gave up, smelling all the smoke from his three pack a day habit. I'm like Harry I have tried for the last 16 years to quit I wanted my granddaughter not to h...

RE: Difficulty Level Of Learning to Use a Water Level

Sandy, To answer your question it will depend on what area of Texas you live in. There are some of us that don't have clay or sand in our soil at all and it has to be mixed in after digging up where you need it. In the last stick built house we had the cement swimming pool. After digging down 15' th...

Well I'm just a few hours ahead of you. Patch went on at 11:00am March 20th. I finally went back and figured it out that I have been smoking since I was 14 so that is a total of 45 years for me. Hubby put his patch on at same time he is a three pack a day and he has been smoking since he was 10 that...

RE: Do you smoke...?

This was in our newspaper here in Ft. Worth today. Hubby & I started on the patches yesterday. We have been smoking for more than 43 years but I can't see spending 150.00 a week for smokes. That is two car payments and we only have one car. It is going to be harder on him because he has never wa...

RE: Foundation/House shift

I used a soaker hose and like you said can only use water at limited times so you can't get that much water down there to cause harm. It is all going into to the land it is not going to make a puddle. You could climb under in 30 min. and it would be so dry you never knew that water had been there. T...
