RE: How Does One Caulk So It Looks O.K.?

I find that most people pull the caulking gun to apply it. I was shown to push it instead. It takes some practice but if you cut the tip right it lays down nicely and then the "licked finger" trick gives it the finishing touch.

RE: Nascar

I know about addicting motorsports lol. Just watch a Top Fuel car go down the quarter mile once! It is an awesome spectacle that invades all of your senses at the same time. Maybe we can catch a NASCAR race in Michagan sometime :)

RE: Nascar

RATS! I missed the race...have been following more this year than any other as I think Yanita is spreading something contagious with NASCAR, lol. Oh well, I think they will have a re-run on the TV on Thursday and we will catch it then. I like it when Tony wins!! Too bad about JJ though, I caught tha...

looking for a diagram

I am looking for a cut away diagram of how a MH is constructed. There was one posted at one time but I can't seem to find it now. One of those age related things I presume, lol. Anyway, if anyone recalls the link to this would you let me know please. Thanks a bunch.

RE: Installing wood stove in Manufactured home

The air intake is there to bring combustion air in from the outside, that's it. The theory is (and it is debatable, but still law) that there is not enough oxygen in the home to support both combustion and you breathing. The black double wall stove pipe connects the stove to the chimney. The chimney...

RE: Installing wood stove in Manufactured home

If your stove does not have an intake for air from the outside it is not likely MH rated. It will say right on the stove if it is MH rated, on a metal tag. As far as clearances go you MUST have 18" from the front of the stove. Probably 8" on either side and the back. These can be reduced i...

RE: Installing wood stove in Manufactured home

I installed a Drolet brand woodstove last year. It is MH and EPA rated and came with all the instructions for clearances. I used Indian slate on the floor which also came with instructions for installation. I did not use any extra blocking beneath the home and it is all good so far. Mind you there i...

Got the lowdown on all the electronic gew gaws at the dealership. I kind of like the radio (CD) turning down when I slow down. Had Kenny Wayne Sheppard blasting on it today...wow! The colour is Dark Metalic Silver. It has more options than I wanted but it was on the lot and called to Sal and I to ta...

Just got it yesterday with only 67k on the odometer. Newest car I ever owned. Rated for 40 mpg so I feel really good on that front too as it is almost double that of the van. The best part is the bow tie on the front. I am finally free of Mopar products!! Beauty ride even at 120km/h. I am going to h...

When you get to the bathrooms make sure to use mold resistant drywall. It will say right on it mold resistant. Around the tub/shower area concrete board is even better.

New Baby

Well, kind of....the old van is on it's last legs and I have been looking around. One of the dealers I was in touch with just phoned me up yesterday and said he had something I might be interested in. So Sal and I went out and bought a new 2007 HHR LT with all kinds of goodies in it.....well Sal and...

I copied this from the ORHT web site concerning pets Pets A landlord may evict a tenant for keeping an animal if it: l caused undue damage, l caused a serious allergic reaction in another person or the landlord, l interfered with the normal enjoyment of the property by another tenant or the landlord...

RE: Probably gonna be selling.

I don't know about the rest of the country, but here in Ontario, the law states that people with pets cannot be discriminated against by landlords. They are recognised as family members.
