All the drag racers use synthetics. Amsol, and Royal Purple are the 2 I see the most. Red Line is used quite a bit too.

The vent outlet that goes on the roof can be found at any lumber store cheap! Get it the same time you pick up the fan. When I did mine I was doing roof/ceiling repairs so everything was open. I added a piece of 2x6 to my roof truss for mounting the fan. Get the highest CFM fan you can find.

Just watching Watkins Glen, on delay here. No beer for Jim though, I am taking Warfarin for a blod clot in my leg. Probably won't be able to get my knee fixed until after that is cleared up. Until then Tylenol is my best friend.

VHS or Beta?...remember that one...turns out Beta was better, used in broadcasting companies...VHS was marketed better though.

RE: Need to replace the back door

I took some 3/4 and 1/2 inch plywood and ripped it to width. I then laminated it all together to the size of the studs with deck screws and PL Premium adheisive. The building inspector gave me the idea, except he didn't say I needed the PL. That stuff is great! I now have the equivilent of a "p...

OK...got the pics in my album. I think they come up in reverse order though! There are just a few but I think it shows all the things I did to put in the patio door.

RE: Need to replace the back door

Maureen I have a whole series of pics on how I installed my sliding door set, including the way I made the lintle above it. I removed both a door and a window as the slider was installed 1/2 way into each. It required taking out about a 12' section of wall to put it in. If you want them, just ask. Jim

RE: Need to replace the back door

A lot of people have had good luck changing the door to one for a stick built house. It involves some framing work but the door is of better quality, easier to find at a lumber store etc., and you will get the size you want. I have done 2 of them on my home, one being a sliding patio door replacing ...

Just got home

Well here it is, Monday. We missed the race, we were up on the Manitoulin Island to visit family and take in Haweater weekend. It was fantastic. We had a great time watching the parade, touring the street vendors, watching all the decorated boats and some of the best fireworks I have ever seen! I hi...
