Blower motor part lookup

Hi guys, Have a 1990 Intertherm MGH-055ABWN-07 gas furnace with a model 441480 blower. Think I need a new blower motor as the current one shrieks/squeals until I over-oil it, and then it quiets down until a few weeks later when I have to over-oil it again. Seems like shot bearings. I only see one oi...

Re: Furnace blower fan runs all the time

Bump. Anyone know what I'm dealing with here? The fan and limit switches appear to have checked out OK with the ohmmeter. Here are some more images of my fan control and furnace in case it helps. http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e282/72rr/2012-10-15_12-21-16_7_zps558e77c5.jpg http://i41.photobucket...

Re: Furnace blower fan runs all the time

Assuming the Low switch is the white one labeled Fan and the High switch is the red one labeled Limit, then the resistance values were as you said: High switch - 2.5 Ω Low switch - Open Interestingly, I had turned the pilot off to take out the switch assembly. I put the assembly back in and reconnec...

Re: MH model year identification

It's definitely HUD era. Has a red HUD plate on the rear of the home, but all it tells me is that an NTA inspector approved the home at the factory. Detroiter did go out of business. Did a Michigan corporate entity lookup and found this: Searched for: DETROITER MOBILE HOMES, INC. ID Num: 077675 Enti...

Re: MH model year identification

OK, First the smoke detectors should have been in the trash 15 years ago. There is a 7 yr. lifespan them. Yes, you're quite right. We're working to update the home and the smoke detectors are on our list. I was surprised myself that they hadn't been replaced already, and even more surprised that th...

MH model year identification

Hi everyone, We're trying to determine the exact model year of our MH. The data sheet is no longer present, but here is the information we do have: Title: 1989 Zillow/Trulia/etc.: 1991 Furnace: February 1990 Central A/C: June 1990 Front door hinge sticker: "Sailor Mfg., Inc. March 1990" Fr...

Furnace blower fan runs all the time

Hi all, we have an original 1990 Intertherm MGH-055ABWN-07 gas furnace. The fan switch has options FAN, OFF and ON. With the thermostat/heat off, switching it to FAN (which I'm assuming is the same thing as "auto") kicks the fan on immediately and blows cool air. Same thing when switched t...

Re: Leveling a MH on concrete block perimeter [pictures]

@dedou: I'd be glad to answer any questions you have about our home -- we moved in only two months ago, and this is our first mobile home, but I'll do the best I can. I've included 2 more pictures that may help. I believe our floor joists run width-wise. http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e282/72rr/a...

Re: Need help identifying 1990 Nordyne central A/C

Thanks for the responses. I don't intend to replace it anytime soon, but wanted to be prepared for the inevitable. The unit is still performing well, even though it's oversized for the house (~650sf) -- temp difference is close to 20 degrees between supply and return. I do have to wonder if a single...

Leveling a MH on concrete block perimeter [pictures]

Hi all, We have a singlewide MH that is out of level (sloping floors, doors close themselves, etc.) but we're not sure where to begin leveling it. The home sits on cinder blocks on concrete pads, but the I-beams are cemented into a stuccoed concrete block perimeter support. Pictures follow. Year, ma...

Need help identifying 1990 Nordyne central A/C

Hi everyone. I have quite an old (22 years) Nordyne central A/C unit I could use some help identifying. The label is completely sunfaded, but I rubbed some graphite over it and was able to make out most but not all of it. Model #: ASCD-030BB-01 Serial #: ASC9006-00597 Factory Charged R-22 41 OZ. The...
