Three handle tub valve setup. Both hot and cold provide only drip. Nothing comes out shower. Looked under, no water. Diverter is valve with handle, appears spout is threaded. WTF? Is Harcraft / Price-Fister. I suspect the diverter valve, but what if Lowes doesn't carry a visual match? (they don't ha...

Usually they just need to be removed, cleaned, and lubricated. Sometimes just a shot of wd40 will do it

Re: Why is my roof so lumpy?
I watched one of those silly reality shows where the whole premise 2 these two burly guys demolish stuff with no tools. Once the target was a mh; one guy was on the metal roof - like 260lbs - jumping up & down, and never did damage it. Bent, yes, but at worst maybe broke a truss. They had to kno...

Re: roof overs..
Are you asking for financial help, or just an energy audit? I'd bet money that there is a way to get a free energy audit from your power or gas company. Just don't ask them for upgrades or anything that costs $. I think you're misunderstanding and asking the wrong questions of the right people. If t...

I think it's funny how they tiled around the stove console instead of straight across. Reminds me of people painting around a toilet tank (guilty!)

Re: Installing a new ceiling light / junction box
Cut out enough of the trim to screw a j box to the bottom, build a little plywood box or use a 4" pvc coupling or whatever to cover (trim) the j box, trim/stain/paint & install your fan or light. Or, you probably could notch out enough of the marriage beam(s) to install the box flush. What,...

Re: A BETTER better skirting idea
The article says to use a backwards Skilsaw blade. Couple of cuts eats the tips on that blade right up. Yesterday I used a $4 metal cutting blade on the Skilsaw, kinda like a skinny grinding wheel. Sparks like 4th of July, but works much better.

Re: Partial water line replacement
Yep - check the hardware store for the transition fittings you need, also consider "sharkbite" or "gatorbite" fittings, use the white sleeve inserts with those. Also, consider pex supply. com they have everything there
