Allure Installation

Hi all, we have finally gotten moved in to our MH, had a metal roof put over all of it, metal skirting, new windows, new doors, and covered deck. Living room, kitchen and dining room are painted, and I have 1200 sq ft of Allure to lay, can't wait. It has been sitting in here since Friday so it is re...

Re: Flooring (Economical!)

I would recommend doing research, and more research and then read any reviews you can find. If you can get a sample section, put it through the paces. Put a wet glass or boots on it and see if the water effects it. We have Home Expressions in ours' that I bought at Mr. Seconds that is great as far ...

Re: kitchen cabinets.

Giani granite makes a kit that you can do amazing things to your countertops with. I think some Lowes are carrying the kits. They also have a Facebook page with lots of beautiful countertops! That is what I am going to use on mine....Someday!

Glazing or color washing

Has anybody put a translucent color over their print wallpaper? I was looking at the floral wallpaper in our singlewide today and it isn't bad, just dated. It has navy and burgundy flowers, which I was going todo the bathroom most likely in purple or plum with a blue and green. Do you think rather t...

Re: Sloping ground

He said we could shave off just a little bit, but the septic tank placement won't let us take off much. He thought it would take 10 loads of fill to do it right. He did say that he was giving us the worse case scenario and if he could do it for less he would. Yikes, the things I get myself (and hubb...

Re: Sloping ground

Thanks Greg, yes, we own the land. We had a dozer operator out there today. $2000 to haul in enough dirt to make I pretty flat vs $400 to move it. Every scenario we discussed was $2000 because if we move it to get it a little flatter, we would have to put in a new septic tank. I will call City Hall ...

Sloping ground

We have bought a 16x80 mh that is already blocked up and tied down. The previous owner put it in under a power line and over the water line. Needless to say, it needs to be moved. In order to keep the price down, one end is going to have to be about 4 1/2 ft off of the ground. Is this a problem? Do ...

Re: Flooring (Economical!)

Thank you, That floor would certainly make me very happy! Did you use something for a prep? I had heard that peel and stik doesn't do well in mobile homes. Thanks again!

Flooring (Economical!)

Hi all, I am new here, but have been reading the forum for a couple of months. We purchased a 2001 16x80 Town & Country MH a couple of weeks ago. It has been sitting empty for several years. After spending days of cleaning walls, appliances, we started working on the carpet. It never was going t...
