when to remove straw

i threw down some seed to patch in some bare spots when do i take up the staw?
Hi,
Providing you did not mulch to thickly I never have removed the straw, it generally decomposes over time. If you want to remove it wait till the grass is up at least 1/2, and make sure to water as needed.
