I own an 84 mobile home made by champion. I have 6 panels of siding that are bowing and 2 that are actually comming apart. I have read in forums before that to install new siding just apply siding over the old. My question is should I remove those panels and just fur out the studs and install the new over the old as recommended? I am new to the site and am really having a tough time navigating..I will check through the FAQ section a little more. Thanks pjones.

What type of siding do you have, wood panels or aluminum?

Just going over what you have is only going to give you a new bowed siding. you will need to get the bow out before you put new siding on. Greg

It is the old wood look alike. I have about 6 panels that have to go, the rest of the exterior is ok and could be sided over as suggested. Thanks for your time..pjones

Hi,

As for navigating the site...go to The Website Questions forum and check out some of the threads there. If your questions are not there then post what you are confused about and you will get answers.
