Hey all, I have a Fleetwood brand 1990 doublewide. I want to update my bedroom doors, but not with paint. I like the wood grain on the door and I am afraid if I paint them the door will scrape on the jam and remove the paint.
My question is......Has anyone stained their interior simulated wood grain doors? Should I sand them a little and then try staining. I am just wondering if the stain will stick to the door.
Thank you for any help.

I suspect that the doors you have are hardboard, I think that you will have a hard time making them look right with stain.
I would keep an eye open for wood doors, I have seen them on Craig's list, Habitat stores and the paper. Greg

Thank you Greg. Yep they are hardboard. I'll keep an eye out for some used doors. Thanks again for your help.
