I think they are called Jalousie, but I'm not sure. It's 3 panels that crank out and up. The panels are about 11 inches high so it would be hard to find an AC to fit. I know odd size ACs are very expensive too.
Has anyone put in an AC into a crank window system? I may have to put in a portable AC, which is okay because I bought one and used it in the living room while I was painting, but even that is still a project to do and install. I'm thinking of maybe taking out the bottom panel and getting a hole cut to match the exhaust and a smaller one for the water hose. I wonder if glass places or Home Depot type places do that.
anyone have info and tips on installing AC in crank window?
