Hello all. We have a 2000 Fleetwood Carriage Manor with floor joists 19.2" OC and 5/8 plywood subfloor. After pulling up carpet with the intention of installing luxury vinyl plank flooring, I discovered floor joists that are 19.2" OC. Pretty much every spec sheet I read on LVP indicates a minimum of 3/4" plywood with 19.2" spacing. For 5/8" plywood, 16" OC is maximum joist spacing.
Does anyone have experience installing LVP over 19.2" OC joists with 5/8" plywood? I am concerned about the deflection causing the LVP to come unlocked at the seams.
If LVP is risky, any suggestions for a good alternate product? Laminate? Good brands?
Thanks.
