Can someone let me know where to look for the drain pan for our A/C unit??
My husband noticed the drain tube was not functioning correctly so he crawled under the home and noticed the drain tube had a loop in it. Once he straightened it out, the line drained properly but he noticed a very large wet bugle in the underbelly dripping cold water in the area of the Furnace unit. We've not had to use the A/C since we noticed this problem. If its not really the hose could it be something else and if so any ideas? We want to check for a rusty drain pan but don't know where to look.
The furnace is an Intertherm model MIGHA070ABF05 The A/C unit is Rheem I think???
Where is the drain pan for A/C
Hi,
It is in the bottom section of your furnace. It is underneath your a-coil.
You remove front cover to get to it.
If the drain line was kinked and not draining, it probably backed up and overflowed the drain pan.
Take care and best wishes,
Robert
