We have an older mobile home with a large bathroom paneled in that shiny white material (with little silver squiggles). Can we paint over this? If so, with what?
Thank you, Linda Dighton

Get a good primer and a good paint--I love Benjamin Moore paints--make sure you wash the walls really good clearner TSP you can get at Walmart or any paint store--let dry atlest 24 hours, then primer--let dry 24 hours, then paint---the primer has to have time to cure if you rush a paint job the results will show it. Have fun :)

iS THERE A NAME FOR THIS SURFACE ON THE WALLS? IS IT FORMICA OR JUST PLASTIC PANELING? ALSO, THE SAME STUFF IS IN OUR SHOWER STALL AND IS CRACKING BADLY. WE CAN NOT AFFORD A NEW SHOWER SURROUND AT THIS TIME. HOW DO THE EPOXY REFINISHING KITS WORK IN THIS SITUATION. ANY OTHER ADVICE ON HOW TO REPAIR THE SHOWER SURROUND AND HAVE IT LOOK NICE WITHOUT COSTING A FORTUNE. WE JUST PURCHASED THIS HOME.
THANKYOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE.

It's probably vinyl over drywall.
