working on daughter's fixer upper. pulled the broken ceramic tile in the kitchen, which was laid directly on the linoleum, carpet with no pad over rotted floor in living room (replacing the whole thing, it was patched everywhere), the bad part was the peel and stick tiles down the hall.. the adhesive stayed, can't even walk on it without losing a shoe! The whole house will have vinyl when we are done, but how do we kill off that adhesive? :?:

I have had good luck with citrus based cleaners removing adhesive, Goo gone may work also. Greg

do you need to remove it?

if it is even, and the replacement floor will have an adhesive put down also, can you put plastic drop cloths down on it to walk on until the project starts?

I had the same situation, but I was going from stick on tiles to a laminate floating floor, so I stapled 6 mil plastic down before doing the floor install, so that the stickiness would not make the floating floor not float...
