Coleman Presidential II
Model # 76808
Series 856
Serial # 47869306
It has been making a humming noise for about
2 weeks now. I took a few pictures as to the part
that is buzzing. Is there a replacement part I can
order and what is the part's name?
On the actual part there are a few numbers:
BE 11246 KIF 45
and
7660C 950
Thanks in advance.

Some people are Humbly Grateful, while some are Grumbly Hateful.................... Which one are you ?
Thanks for the information Robert.
What is the cause of the humming?
I am assuming its just old age?

Hi,
You're very welcome, happy to help. Yep, as they age, they start to breakdown and hummimg is common as they begin to fail.
Take care and best wishes,
Robert

One more question. Since I got the place about two years ago the fan always has trouble starting up. It up labor a bit at first and then start going after 5-10 seconds. I believe the fan was replaced in 1994, but I dont know if they replaced the capacitor at that time. Could that be the problem?
Hi Dan,
Turn power to furnace OFF, then reach in and spin blower wheel by hand. IF it spins freely for several revolutions, then the run cap may be the problem.
Let me know the run cap mfd and volt rating or see if the blower housing has a model number stamped on it.
Take care and best wishes,
Robert
