Hi to all.
I just moved into a mobile home and the first with a metal roof.
It's a little breezy and my wife said what is that rumbling!!
I went outside and looked at the roof and I could see some of the panels flexing with the wind. It is also very hot today too.
Is it normal for the panels to rumble ??
Thanks
God Bless

You will find that all Mobiles have a noise that is all their own, kind of makes them have a personality. Some have roof rumbles, some have sidings that pop when they expand from the sun heating them up. They are noises that after a while you won't even hear.

They used to use "rumble screws" to reduce the noise, but since you were putting holes in the roof it soon became a situation where you were trading one problem for a bigger one. If you can live with it I would do just that.

What you have up there is basically a big metal sheet laid over the roof trusses. It is usually not slippery if it is dry. You can walk up there but you want to stay on top of the trusses, you can feel them. If you want, some people use plywood pieces that span a few trusses to walk on.

You can try doing a search here for "Roof rumble" or "roof noises", The topic has come up here before.
