Do they exist? If so, how would I find them?

Maybe a good place to start would be to talk to the owners of Mobile Home Parks. They usually seem to know people who move them, demolish them, and have parts for sale. Good luck!

Some of the mobile home dealers that take older used homes in trade may also demolish and salvage parts. Greg

Hi BeachBoy,

If you're looking to make a profit from scrap, you're most likely not going to find it.

If you're not looking to make money, but just get rid of the home. Try checking into church groups and those that offer charity services. Even non-profits might be interested.

If that fails, try posting an ad, free home, you move!

Also if you are looking to get rid of a place try your local fire company. Sometimes you can donate it for fire practice and when done they will clean the lot.

I guess since I shop at the Habitat restore, I assumed he wanted to get discounted things to fix up his own home. I guess we need more information.

Thanks Sylvia! The light bulb just came back on again LOL!

With one or two sentences, it's sometimes hard for us to get exactly what someone needs or wants. The more info we get, the better the response.

Each post needs to specific. We all get off work, cook dinner, tend to household chores, family, etc. Then we pop on the board to answer questions. We do our best to figure out what you might need. Sometimes we're wrong!

BeachBoy, if you could let us know what you need a salvage company for, we will point you in the right direction.

Hi Maureen,

I had previous posted a topic about wanting old awnings of which you responded to on 5/6/07. This post in question was asking about whether MH savage yards exist? I have never seen one but it may be in the Deep South we never stop using them. LOL. I was looking for old awnings rather than putting new awnings for an old MH. I just wanted to know whether MH savage yards exist? Plain and simple. Sorry.

Bill

Most regular home products can be used on mh's if you modify the home. We've redone this entire place and never bought any mh product.
