Does the section in the book on roof-over cover older homes with a step down roof? Can it be done that way or will it need re framed to be one level surface?

Great web site. I've found alot of helpful ideas

It mentions the step-down, but doesn't cover it in detail. Is it a complete drop-off, or a gradual slope?

I don't think you will have a problem with condensation. The foam insulation between the original roof and the new metal roof-over should prevent this.

Thanks for the reply Mark It is a gradual slope about a 1 foot drop over 2 feet

The roof will work fine with a gradual slope. The metal will easily bend around the slope. Just be sure at the seems that the piece of metal on top overlaps the piece of metal on the bottom.

Thanks for the info Mark. Just ordered the manual. Been thinking about it for a while. I'm preety handy with most things but it never hurts to have too much info.
