Quick question. Every so often like about 5 minutes after the heat turns on I hear something under the house that sounds like a gong. I am going to summised (hopefully that this is the duct expanding out from the heat going through it. Someone please tell me this does happen. No water problems, everything seems fine but that noise. Like I said...only after the heat is running for a few

mine goes pop after it has run its cycle. the colder the climate you are in the more dramatic the sound. its perfectly normal just duct contracting.

Thanks! that scared the (explative) out of me, I stocked up and am just staying in due to the 2 inches of ice we are getting. I am new to living in a mobile and haven't gotten used to those quirks yet. I had just decided to take a nap, then GONGGGG!

Yep

I have 3-5 different noises when the temp changes.

Like the rest have said, noises are common in mobiles, especially during the Winter.

We've been below zero for a few days now. Everything in this old home is making noise right now LOL!
