We have been doing repairs and have the carpet pulled out. We thought the wet spots and stains on floor boards was from the pets our family members had that was living in the home. We went to work on the house one night while it was raining and we noticed some of the spots where wet again. The ceiling is not leaking. What would cause the floor boards to become wet like this? The air has been out all so if that makes a difference.

The usual suspects include plumbing leaks, leaks in roof or walls, major lack of ventilation under the home. You will need to go under the home and take a look around, look for sags and drips in the belly.
You need to find the problem and repair it before it turns into a MAJOR problem.

We do not have any leaks of any kind. Do you recommend crawl space fans or a dehumidifier to help with ventilation?

Is your home sitting on dirt or a concrete slab? either way, I think I would just try a fan and get some air moving under there. If you are on dirt, lay 6 mil plastic down to give you a vapor/moisture barrier. you will need to cut it for the piers & plumbing but it is well worth it.
