Everyone who lives in the great Pacific NW,

There have been a range of ideas on what roof coating to use. Everything from Henry's to Black Jack. It appears that that neither are a favorite with a lot of folks. Everybody talks about elastomeric coatings. Well, silicone isn't exactly the best product to use when it comes to manufactured homes. I've talked to folks back in New England area and they are satisfied with EPDM coatings especially in inclement weather. Is it fair to say the cost comes into play? If it turns out that a product is expensive, yet it works well wouldn't that be the way to get it done.

You are correct! If you can afford it install either EPDM or TPO rubber roof membrane.
Check with you local energy folks at PUD. Depending on your income they come out and put it on for free.
We are lucky in the North West. We offer several low income energy assistant programs that come out, perform a energy audit and depending on income and age perform the work for free. Windows, doors, roofs, blowin insulation, replace water heaters and install fans.
If you do not qualify there is no roofing sealant I have heard of for these metal roofs that resolves the issue of leakage.
At least we have someone in our corner. Some states treat there constituents as disposable after they have worked hard to fill the state and cooperate coffers.
