Photo resizer app. Still a pita to have to do it, but oh well...

You may also have a setting on the camera for size when you take the photo.

I use picasa, I download from the camera into the album on the computer. then when I want to post a picture I copy the picture from the album to a desktop file and resize it during the move. It sounds more complicated than it is.
