A friend played with at a show in Los Vegas, Ans said there was no comparison between 7 and any other windows program (thank God) and one of the column writers that is SUPER pro Mac claims that it is as good if not better than a Mac system.

I am really thinking about updating, after all how much worse can it be than Vista?? Greg

I just bought a new HP computer with Windows 7 Premium and is like XP with a lot of good stuff added.
No troubles with accepting the printer or my camera, even without loading any CD software.

Sometimes the software that comes with printers and cameras is over kill when all you want is a simple print job or loading picture's you just took.

My Toshiba Laptop took a dump, so I got this new HP with bells, whistles and a whole lot of increased speed.

Vista was, in my opinion, too much too soon, just to rake in some money while they perfected 7.
My wife's new PC has Vista and she has no problems either, but setting it up took a little work, getting it to load her scanner, camera and printer.

If you have an old PC like mine, which was 6 years old, I recommend getting a new and faster machine. You'll LOVE the difference in speed and efficiency.

After all, It only money. Have a good day.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
The Windows 7 Family Pack, which includes software licences to upgrade three computers from previous versions of the software, will carry a recommended retail price of $249.

The Family Pack deal has been available in the US since Windows 7 launched on October 22 but was not offered to Australian consumers, although they could buy the family packs online at US retailers.

Windows 7 is hands down the best windows OS ever. One problem I ran into though is that you need to make a fresh install because it would not let me delete certain files that still had the Vista administrator codes attached, needless to say I then backed up my files and did a fresh install.

Are you talking about buying a entire new computer or just Windows 7? As processor speed and amount and speed of ram can affect performance. Windows 7 is just Windows XP with more bells and whistles. They stepped back from a lot of Vista things that did not work so good.
And you have to do a clean install because the fat aka NTFS is a little different. But it is backwards compatible so no worries on that.
Also if you use a password make sure you use password recovery built into it.

It's the best of both worlds: The new Windows XP Mode lets you run older Windows XP business software right on your Windows 7 desktop.
