I'm new here and not sure I'm posting in the right place but I'll throw it out here.

Have an electric furnace (all new to me)and the problem is when I turn it on the coils heat up but blower doesn't always kick on (sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't) when it doesn't I turn it on manually and the air flow it great but cool .

Question :

1) why doesn't the blower kick on by it self?

2)is it common for electric heat to blow cool like that?

Central Electric Furnace
Intertherm 76,000 btu
Model # FEH-023HR-03
Appliance code E0000022091
Date code 870515

Please not it is an older furnace but has been used a season or two,has been setting for years but still like new.

Hi,

Most likely a faulty sequencer. It controls the blower and elements.

When it does work and blows cold air, most likely not all elements are working.

Sequencer # 901076 @ $57.00 + $6.75 shipping.

It can be seen and ordered from left column here through Paypal:

http://www.mobilehomerepair.com/NordyneElec.html

OR, by calling between 9AM/5PM CST Mon thru Fri toll free to

1-877-263-7860 and charging to Visa or Mastercard.

If you're in Canada, let us know for added info.

Thanks for inquiring,
Robert

"The sequencer" controls both the elements and blower,is this correct??

Now the big question, where is it located and is it a simple matter of turning off the power and disconnecting and reconnecting the wires?I guess I could find it but a diagram would be cool, know where I can find one by chance?

It is inside controls boxed in area near the elements.

You can order a Parts & Wiring Diagram for email delivery here:

http://www.mobilehomerepair.com/wireandparts.html

Just remove wires and reconnect at same place.

Usually 2 screws hold it on.

Thanks,
Robert
