Furnace has been sitting in a cold house for a while. When started up, blower would come on for a short while, then off for a short while, then back on for a little longer period of time. The short cycling would continue, but fan staying on a little longer each time until it finally seemed normal (staying on longer to bring temp up to set temperature).

Something to do with the Fan limit having to warm up?

When you circulate cooler/colder air through the furnace itself, it will cool down quicker and the fan switch will cut off power to the blower. It is temperature activated. What you described is a completely normal operation of the unit upon start up in a cold home.
