Hello,

I own a 1988 single wide mobile home, with an Evcon furnace number DGAA070BDTB.

I am posting because my furnace did not run once over the last twelve hours, and my home went down to 55* last night.

The diagnostic trouble code light blinked three times which according to the chart means "combustion switch failed to close" No matter how many times I tried to start the furnace, reset the furnace, or whatever it would not turn on.

The two rubber hoses at the bottom of the flue are in good shape and not blocked or kinked. While the furnace was starting I spun the blower wheel by hand and the furnace finally turned on, and seems to work fine now.

My question is, am I going to have heat tonight? Or when the furnace cycles again is it going to give me the same error code and not turn on? If so, is there anything I can do?

Thanks,

Kevin

The booster motor has to run in order to trip the pressure switch. As long as the booster keeps running and there's no issues with the pressure switch, you should be fine.

For your info, this is your pressure switch: http://www.aberdeenhomerepair.com/store ... ure-switch

Thank you for the links Mark. It is working fine for two days now, knock on wood.

I will probably replace the switch as this is not the first time this has happened. I know the motor is not burned out as I can hear it run.
