Re: Solid surface countertops
Thanks, is Sunco a local company or online? We live in Calif and if I could order them online that would be great, I will look for a webpage. I don't believe in buying "name brand" just for the sake of the name  when I can get something comparable (and a sometimes better) for less mo...

I had tile in another house I had and put in formica when I remodel the kitchen in the next home and concrete stains easily if not kept sealed. I dont want maintain...

Solid surface countertops
We are thinking about remodeling our kitchen in the next few months, just looking at options now. I want to do it as inexpensively as possible, but still have a good outcome. I know I want some type of solid surface countertop, low maintenace, durable. I do not want tile or laminate, and granite/nat...

Newest elect bill
We got our first "official" (finally recoginized by Edison for having solar) electric bill, it was just $1.27 :D for "service charges" They keep track of actual usage and we will get billed at the end of the year. The panels were not working for over half of last month due to the...

Re: electric bill
Everything is expensive in Calif, planning on moving out when we retire. We use propane for our water, cooking and heating. We have a second "residence" on our property (10 acres) our son lives in a 5th wheel trailer next to the house and he uses elect for water, heating, etc. We have 2 el...

Re: electric bill
Our elect usage was in the neighborhood of 1600 kw, this time it was around 500. Since we only used elect from the first tier level we only paid the lowest rate per kw instead of the higher rates in the 5th and 6th tiers. With the Sun Run lease bill, we are paying about 24 cents kw all together. And...

electric bill
Our first electric bill came in, it had one week of power from the electric compay and 3 weeks on the new solar system.
Last month our bill was $450.00, this time it was $70.
A big savings, I am looking forward to next month when we will have a full month of solar on it.

We have Southern California Edison, I know it is on a tiered system, the first 2 tiers are 12 & 15 cents a kWh. of course they only allow you less the 20 kWh at those tiers, then it goes up from there to around 50 - 60 cents a kWh. We have evap cooling, and set the thermostat at 75. The Solar po...

RE: electric bill
We have an average house, 2000 sq ft, but also have a occupied guest house, and we pump our water from about 500 ft down, then pump it from the water tank into the house. I think we must have a drain somewhere, but don't know for sure. The power lines are run underground and run through PVC. We are ...

I was interested in whether there would be much of a change in out electric bill since we put in the new coolers and finished the covered deck on the west and south sides of the house. We got the bill today, went from 67 kw last year to 60 this year. (If our solar system was in we would have had a $...

RE: Faux Granite Countertops
Is that what I have seen called"granite transformations" or the laminate that looks like granite? I think it looks good too. How expensive was it?
