The heat is great in the winter but a single pane skylite leaks heat and AC. Adding another plastic layer could help but if tightly sealed will usually form condensation. Your best bet would be to add solar blinds. I have always changed skylites to Velux which are energy efficient, can open with man...

The vinyl floor is a "floating" floor with only perimeter glue. Most of the time air from duct gets under edges at vents but in your case it is probably coming from the joint where the halves were connected. Does the vinyl cover the joint? If so ..thats your problem

I would set up the unit as is with its own electric connection and connect it with a breezeway or sunroom. You would have to enlarge your drainfield and probably add a septic tank to handle to added rooms (that for sure will be inspected). Central AC is way more effecient than a room AC ...just turn...

Sounds to me like water got down thru the vents (water overflo above) You will probably need to have a company come out to clean and sanitize your ductwork. Its usually around $150

Try unsrewing and cleaning your airator..it is the screen filter on the end of the spout. You should be able to remove faucets by popping caps on top...then remove screw and pop off. Hope this helps

my 2 cents.....the window at Lowes you are looking at probably has had the flange broken off. Windows have either full flange all the way around (new construction) or no flange (remodel). If the room is a bedroom it should have an egress window for fire escape. Some other window distributors will ha...

You need to determine if the problem is the pump(clogged inlet), the water line (hole in line down in well), bad holding tank(bladder is waterlogged) . If the switch comes on at 40 psi and goes off at 60 psi its doing its job correctly. Dissconnect water line from, holding tank and see if you get st...

28 days is the time it takes concrete to reach minimum strength and is the standard for core testing, however you can usually put full weight on "in ground piers" within 2 or 3 days. Talk to your local inspector for rules for your area. When pouring concrete, be careful of the "slump&...

If you have copper wire your ahead of the game and should be no reason to run new circuit. Start with breaker box contacts, shut off circuit and see which outlets are effected. Chances are the closes outlet/fixture to the panel is first on circuit. Working with live wires is like welding and can kil...

RE: outdoor shower

How about an outdoor holding tank to catch rainwater, you could fill with a hose when needed. Also think about solar heat for the same water, black holding tank or solar cover. A ring mounted to the wall with a curtain works well and just use RV, 12v pump for pressure. I HAD ONE LIKE THIS AND IT WOR...

By cutting the trap...yes at the bottom of the "U" because that might be the only place you can get to and have room to move the pipe
Remember that you need a ptrap or "U" to keep sewer gas from coming back up the pipe into your bathroom

30 x 60 ???? piece of cake
Only plumbing will be the drain which you will have to reconnect
The surround will have to come off to do the job so you will need to disconnect tub/shower valve escution or complete valve depending on style you have

Maybe you could: Cut the Ptrap at bottom and use "no hub " connector to move 1" closer to tub drain Cut pipe at "T" and use "no hub" connector (no hub 's come in various sizes and even a full "ptrap" so you can put one end over hub and other on pipe just ...
