Need advice to prevent another disaster

This past January our water lines froze and shattered into tiny little slivers of cpvc pipe and it took forever to find someone to replace and repair our water lines, not to say it cost an arm and leg (the guy did not live up to what he told us he would do) plus he did not repair the under belly as ...

Re: Underbelly and insulation

He's the one that backed out after telling me he will take care of it all. It was my understanding when you hire someone for a job and especially what he did they he would be responsible for also closing replacing the insulation and closing the belly back up. He said he had some health issues but he...

Re: Underbelly and insulation

Thank you Greg, I did call the claims office today to let them know the amount they said they would pay to have the plumbing replace was not near enough as to what the plumber charged us. So i faxed his 4,000.00 bill to the agent and did mention to her that I'm having problems trying to find a reput...

Re: waterlines and heat ducts

Thank you for your responses. Yes I did insist on pexs pipes to replace the damaged ones. I was just concerned when he said he was not going to rehang them. I always heard they needed to be hug by the heat ducts and wanted to make sure he was doing things right.

waterlines and heat ducts

Hi JD and Greg, I'm having to have my water lines replaced due to the harsh winter we had (every single pipe in the house shattered) and i finally found a plumber that is willing to work on our MH. Its not easy trying to find someone that is willing to crawl under your home and work laying down for ...

Re: Should siding be sealed? Light shows all the way around.

This past tuesday I had an electrian come and move some outlets and install new GFI's on the studs as we are installing new cabinets and when he removed the thin drywall. The insulation that was in the walls did not fill the cavity and at the bottom of the wall where it meets the floor you can see a...

Re: allure vinyl ultra click plank flooring

Thank you calderhill for the pictures your floors are beautiful. JD the manufacturer got back with me yesterday afternoon and said to install up to the cabinets because it is a free floating floor. Thank you everyone for your responces. I appreciate all of your input.

Re: Should siding be sealed? Light shows all the way around.

I have that same problem and you can see the outside light and in the winter you can feel a draft. I also am wondering if this can be sealed with some thing other then insulation. I noticed your wiring is on the outside of the studs is that normal for all mobel homes. For some reason i thought it wo...
