I have a front loader that is about a year and a half old and nothing has helped. It is going to make two singles out of this double wide before its all over. Even went to the feed store and bought this super thick horse stall matt and put under it, i think it actually made it worse. The sad part ab...

We have had them also. The #s of them seem to grow each fall. They come in around the smallest cracks! They usually find a way in between the window frames and the screens, also along the storm doors. There is no way of keeping them out so I have my vacuum standing bye. I suck them up then dump them...

When we purchased our new home a year ago we had to sign a form stating we understood that if we put in a ventless heater, our warranty would be voided. They do not heat the homes evenly and cause too much moisture in the home. Also with the new energy star homes being sealed so tightly, I feel that...

RE: Septic?
Septic gasses will not explode as you have stated but they are not healthy if they are coming back up through the drain. We have a garden tub that we do not use, (we use the walk in shower instead) so once a week I run water through the tub just to make sure there is water in the trap.

RE: Painting Walls
I have painted my walls also but cleaned them with a mild solution of vinegar and water first, even in a new home. The new homes have "construction dust" on the walls. You will be surprised how much dust you can remove from the walls. I then used Kilz primer. Wait until the primer is TOTAL...

RE: Recommendation, please, for washer dryer combo or stacke
I bought a Whirlpool Duet sport set a year ago. It has the front loading washer. They can be placed side by side or stacked. I had them stacked for a while then put them side by side. They work real well but the washer shakes so bad that it worries me that I am going to destroy my home. It even walk...

Maureen, I have been in your part of the country before and think it is beautiful! Our destination is always Vegas but we always take side trips that takes us to various parts of Nevada. Beautiful state. In fact on the last trip there we just couldn't resist stopping at a manufactured home sales to ...

http://mobilehomerepair.com/phpbb/userpix/31_bear_lg_1.jpg First time for me to post a pic so hope I do this OK. There was a bear headed right for my garden! Pic is not the best quality because I took it with my cell phone that for some reason I had set on b/w but he didn't stick around long enough...

Reading this makes me realize how much I wish I had a bathroom window! We have local hardware stores that will make screens for you. Also have a manufactured home plant not all that far away and they have a "store" that you can buy most supplies. Check with your local hardware stores...

Hi. Welcome to MH life. We purchased a new one about 9 months ago and I love it! You are getting excellent advice here. Structural upgrades are a must. They will pay for themselves in the end and save you many headaches. Then sit back and think of some things you might think you want now. Maybe a ut...

I agree with using a good tough cleaner. Then give it a rinse to make sure all the dirt and also the cleaner residue is removed. Sometimes a rinse with clean warm water takes up a lot of gunk.

RE: Skirting problems
Wondering if you put a stone border the entire way around the home and come out about a foot or foot and a half if maybe she wouldn't not like to lay there any more and find some other place to nap. White marble chips or even limestone. Something sort of chunky and not to comfy. She is very pretty.
