RE: Help locating the year/make of my trailer

Jake,

The information for ours is in the cabinet above the washer and dryer. If yours isn't there, try looking in closets or the cabinets in the kitchen or bathroom. Does it not have a serial plate on the outside somewhere?

RE: refinace yes or no

I don't know what state you live in, but in Texas where I live, it is extremely difficult to refinance a mobile home. We bought ours in 1992 and our interest rate was 8.25%; when interest rates were at their lowest a few years back, we decided to take advantage of them. We called over 20 lending ins...

RE: Peel and stick vinyl tiles

Mahela, We put stick and peel down in our laundry room and we love it! We chose an 18" x 18" tile made by Cryntel that we purchased at Lowe's; we grouted between the tiles and honestly you cannot tell that they aren't real stone. We like it so much that we are going to take up our laminate...

RE: Self Cleaning Ovens in Mobile Homes

Harry, I did a search on the internet and can't find anything that says anything about using self cleaning ovens in mobile homes. We have had a Frigidaire self cleaning oven for almost three years and we haven't had any problems other than the first time I used the cleaning cycle, a screw on the han...

RE: removing batten & painting wall board

Hi Debbie, The primer does not get rid of the texture of the wall board. If you are removing the strips between the panels of wall board and filling the gaps with joint compound and tape, then you will have to texture or skim the entire wall with joint compound for it to look right. We had five room...

RE: New Floors

bkbunny, The vinyl tile that we put down can be laid with or without grout but we wanted the grout so that it would look more like a stone floor instead of a marble floor. Hopefully my husband will have some time this weekend to put up the base boards and ceiling trim so that I can post pictures soon.

New Floors

Yanita, A while back, I posted a question about the Roma Stone luxury vinyl tile from Cryntel that we were thinking about putting down and you asked me to keep you updated. Well, we have started the project. We put it down in the laundry room a couple of weeks ago and I love it! If you recall, we ha...

RE: Flooring question

Thanks for the experiments David. A couple of weeks ago, we bought two 18"x18" Cryntel tiles and I have been doing my own experiments. Those tiles seem very durable. I have my laundry room painted and almost ready to lay the tile. I will post pictures once we get it finished.

RE: Flooring question

David,

Thanks for the info. How interesting...the tiles around the shower...I had a hard time visualizing what you were talking about until I saw the pictures!

Looking forward to seeing the pictures of the countertop.

RE: Flooring question

David, Thanks for letting me know that you have used the vinyl tile from Cryntel and have not had any problems with it. We are going to take up the laminate that is down now and put the vinyl tiles directly on the one piece vinyl that was laid at the factory, so that should eliminate any problems wi...

RE: Flooring question

Yanita and Trudi, I called Cryntel and asked them about the acrylic grout and they said that it is flexible and would work well on a pier and beam foundation. Trudi, I can't find anything on Lowe's website about the grout either...I couldn't even find the 18" x 18" Cryntel tile on Lowe's w...

Flooring question

After many months of research, I think I have finally found the flooring that I want to use in the rooms that currently have wood laminate...but I have a couple of questions. The flooring that I think I am going to go with is a luxury vinyl tile that is made by Cryntel and sold at Lowe's; it comes i...

RE: homeowners insurance

Harry, We were out of town and we drove home yesterday. My husband left several cards in the hotel room for me to find when I got up! We don't fight the crowds on Valentine's Day anymore...I fixed a nice dinner tonight and baked some low fat cupcakes...that was the extent of our Valentine's! I'm not...
