Cooler and A/C

What about using a window cooler at one end of my mobile, opening the doors at the other end to get flow through during the evenings.

During the day using the A/C in the traditional manner to save money?

Any reasons why this would not work?

Re: drop in electric cooktop replacement

Here is what I need to know- The breaker box has 2-30amp breakers that are connected together and this ran to the old cooktop. The old cooktop was a corning ceramic top that is just shot. Re: drop in electric cooktop replacement

Thanks for the info, I did check it out and the box is marked with 2-30amp breakers for the cooktop. I assume that that means 60 total!?

Roof Turbines

I moved into an early 70's mobile about 6 months ago. Now that winter is over I think it's about time to do something about the noisy roof turbines that are there. They were mostly stationary this winter except when a it was very breezy and then they would spin but make a lot of noise. They are the ...

drop in electric cooktop replacement

I have a electric ceramic cooktop in an older home I bought. It is just really shot, we can't get it to even boil water. I'd like to just replace it with a nice newer standard electric coil cooktop. It apears that the top is hard-wired to a junction box under the top and the top is held on by severa...

Re: Replacement Hotwater Heater

It's a gas hot water heater and I'm thinking that in order to put in a 50 gal unit I'm going to have use an exterior closet and put it in there. I live in California and wonder if this is a viable option? Enlarging the area that has the present one in it is not an option. I think cost wise for the u...

Replacement Hotwater Heater

I'd like to replace the hotwater heater in my mobilehome(built in 1971). It is located in a built in cabinet accessed from outside the mobilehome. The capacity is rather small and I would like to put in a 50 gal but that will not fit the rather small space for the heater now. I'm looking for some su...

Re: Sewer connection

JD,

Great idea with the wax ring, thanks. I did finally find some ABS connections that would work, they just don't seem to make a 3" union like I really needed.

thanks again,

Sewer connection

I have a leak at the connection elbow from my mobile to the park. The park connection is a 3" threaded metal stub pipe that sticks straight up. The connection to my sewer is a 90 degree black abs elbow. It connects to the threaded pipe with a 3" union type 90 elbow with a slip joint on the...

Hotpoint Double Oven

Hi, I'm new to this site and just purchased a mobile in a senior park. I have a Hotpoint P7 Double Oven that looks to be original to the home which was manufactured in 1971. It is in fantastic condition and seems to work just fine except for one thing- The top oven selector control when turned to on...
