This does not help your roof leak but we advise all MH owners to diligently run the exhaust fans in the winter. Do this especailly when cooking or showering, leave the exhaust fans running for up to an hour after finishing each.
Greg S is on the money with this one in my opinion.

Re: Where to start remodel--what order
Hi, In your list of repairs the first one that stood out to me was needing the new roof. With that said I would relevel or check for level first...then a new roof! Anything and everything under that roof needs to remain dry or all else is a waste. Then I would go ahead with the plumbing, always keep...

Hi, When we redid our bathrooms and laid new vinyl this is what we did...If you are not exact with measurements this is an easy way. Have lots of newspapers and a roll of masking tape. Once all items are removed tiolet, sink lay your newspaper on the floor covering all the area that the vinyl would ...

Re: Looking at new Lexington
I would thnk the dealership would have the info as to what size studs, insulation and who the manufacturer is etc. Beings that it is a new home you are at least at HUD standards. Since it has been there look for the obvious damage of cosmetic stuff, dangling under belly material, etc... You can also...

Hi,
If you live in an area with freezing winter temps, IMO, your underbelly material is imperative. To not have your underbelly in proper repair you will certainly have frozen pipes, not to mention very cold floors and extremely high heat bills.

Re: Legal Question Regarding Parks and decks???
That's N.C.! Did anyone give you specifics as to why your steps/decks are not to code...risers wrong, footings, railings not the right height, spindles not spaced properly?

Re: Laundry stacked in corner- home vibrates
Hi, I seriously doubt this unit would require perimeter blocking. I used to have one of these units and it practically walked across the floor everytime it went into the spin cycle. These laundry centers are very light weight in comparison to individual units...or at least mine was.We took the brack...

Re: Do you like showers or tubs? or both?
Showers mostly, but I do enjoy a long hot soak! When we renovated our bathrooms here we found out that code for us was at least one bathroom had to have a tub... If you plan on selling in the future I would put in a tub/shower unit...a multi bedroom home typically houses families with kids. Even tho...

Hi, More specifically preventions measures include but are not limited to...check the caulking/sealant yearly on the exterior of your doors and windows. Clean and replace as needed. If your home has shingles make sure they stay in good repair. Shingles that are broke or curled will allow water to wi...

Hi, You have a tremendous amount that you want to do. First off you are going to need building permits. So with that said go to your local codes office and present what you want to do. IF you are given the permits then you can move forward. Personally for the money I think you would be better off to...

Re: pet odor floor damage
Hi, I have used Natures Miracle in the past..but this was for minor ocassional accidents. I personally think that if the damage is significant then replacement is necessary. Animals can generally smell through any type of blocker, so the next person that lives there with a pet will have his pet &quo...

Re: mice... how to get rid of them
Hi, I am going to move this to the off topic forum as it is not about repairs. There are manypast threads on this...But, I am of the opinion to remove all the food sources and set traps. Using poisons only make them smell in the under belly or possibly duct work if they have manged to get in there. ...
