Re: dryer vent

Nancy, I know exactly what you are talking about. My dryer used to vent under the trailer, that is just how is what set up when I moved in here. My plumber actually brought it to my attention when he was under there putting heat tape on my outdoor faucet. He said you do not want that vented under th...

Re: sealing ducts from the inside

Greg,

I went to lowes yesterday and got some Gardner Bender Duct Seal, it looks like C-4. He said I can use it to seal the small holes inside the ducts. It guess you can cut it or tear it off in little pieces. So its going to warm up this week and I am going to try that then.

Re: sealing ducts from the inside

I do not have flex duct but metal duct work, nothing is on the ground but is up above the belly and sealed as best it can be. Did my best to seal under the trailer this past summer, but there were some big holes and some smaller ones. I could not even get to all of them because the wheels and the to...

Re: sealing ducts from the inside

I have small holes in between the floorboards and the ducts and inside the ducts themselves. I think mice are getting in the ductwork through them. I found mice poop in the ductwork. I was thinking of using Gardner Bender Pug Duct Seal or Gray Duct Sealant, anyone ever used these to patch holes insi...

Re: How to measure bathroom sink

I found the sinks at Lowes. They were about 40.00 a piece. They are 20 by 17. I bought the porcelain ones. Pretty good replacement for the crappy plastic ones that came out.

How to measure bathroom sink

I want to replace the plastic sinks in my back bathroom. I own a 1989 Fleming. They are the oval plastic yellow, awful. I tried to measure up top and came up with a weird measurement of like 19 by 16? It is the drop down sink type. How are these measured? It seems like 20 by 17 seems standard for a ...

Re: manufactured home insurance

I have Grange, had Progressive which was double the price. Just went to Grange this year. I have a 1989 Fleming mobile home and they covered it with no problem. The insurance agent said it was cheaper than Foremost and a better policy.

Re: Sewer Smell in Bathroom

Greg, Thanks, I think you were right on. It was the check vent under the sink I do believe. I called the plumber and talked to him about it and he said to go to Lowe`s and pick one up. I went ahead and replaced all of them, 4 sinks. They were all original 1989 so at some point I would be having the ...

Sewer Smell in Bathroom

I recently had to update a small bathroom due to a toilet leak. Had to tear out the floor and replace it, the vanity, and the toilet. I had the plumber replace the toilet and the flange. I am now smelling a sewer smell in that bathroom. I have been looking under the trailer, over and over gain to se...

Water running through ductwork

I turned on the air conditioner and noticed the cat looking at the duct. Went over and looked at it and there is water running through the duct closest to the furnace, Is something blocked up? underneath the trailer? I am no furnace repair person and have no idea what this could be? It is a Coleman ...

Re: Underbelly Repair(need advice)

Greg, thanks. I will order the underbelly tape and the patch for it. I called the company and she is on vacation. Her boyfriend is the one that was supposed to do, actually he got paid to do the job but left some old man here and left, who was supposed to do the repairs. There is no way I am crawlin...

Underbelly Repair(need advice)

Two years ago I had the vinyl skirting replaced. The company that replaced it also was to seal up the underbelly and tape and seal any leaks. I was not here, I had a family member dying in the hospital at the time. The first year, no problems, no frozen pipes, nothing. Mind you this skirting is as t...

Re: Skirting Vents?

Norm, My skirting looks exactly like what you showed in your previous post. I have it all the way around and it is not insulated either. Like I said even this past winter at -40 and tons of snow I had no problems, but the underbelly is good and sealed up. Had OSB board up before that rotted from the...

Re: Skirting Vents?

As long as your underbelly is good and insulated and sealed up you should not have any problems. I could not do the work my self so had to go with the cheapest option which was the vinyl skirting but the guys who installed it went through underneath the trailer and sealed up and insulated anything t...

Re: Skirting Vents?

Annie, I have exactly the same type of vinyl skirting that Norm has in the above post. Previously had OSB board that rotted from the bottom up. So had new vinyl skirting installed last fall. It is vented just like Norm`s. Had no problems this past winter even in minus 40 degree temps here in Ohio. T...
