RE: The trouble with cats...

feral cats around here = target practice.......nasty creatures they are, definitely not house pets by any means. They destroy everything they touch, including cars and homes....

RE: new/introducing; question about moving a MH

My nearest family member is 200 miles away, and I love it that way!! i don't hear the drama, BS, and other nonsense that goes with family living close to you......

Good luck with your dilemma!!

RE: Cost of moving a mobile home

I don't know what the average is, but heres what I paid to have my 16x80 moved (they hauled it about 40 miles from a park (where I bought it as a repo) to my land: $1500.00 for moving it, blocking/leveling it, and anchoring. I had an electrician friend of mine bury conduit and reconnect the electric...

never happen. big brother will never have a GPS anything in my cars. Furthermore, the cost to implement a system like that would be enormous beyond words, and too easily defeated/hacked. Nope, we'll continue to have a fuel tax.

RE: The End.....

This is the first official post since moving in. We've been in since the 2nd of june, but I finally got the computer room all put back together. I have DSL at my shop, and set up a wireless bridge from the shop to the house, so I didn't have to string and bury network cabling... I moved all my serve...

Just curious where you bought the cabinets, they look amazingly like the ones I am putting in my kitchen that I got at Lowes. I bought the cabinets from the manufacturer that actually makes them for retailer resale (inside source). They came unfinished, but we did that ourselves. We paid less than ...

The End.....

....of construction came today with the completion of the laminate kitchen floor and trimming. The home is officially finished! It took a year and a half (working at a fairly leisurely pace), as I bought the home in December of 2007 and had it moved to my land. For those that haven't seen the before...

LOL..... I didn't know that discussing electrical and gas issues was taboo here. I would agree with giving out information on servicing gas, as it's very fickle and very dangerous if not handled properly. Electrical on the other hand is very common sense and easy. Most dimwits with half a brain can ...

Just a little FWIW......mine is a 96, and was in serious disrepair when I got it. the roof was good and the floors were good, it was just ratty inside. it was well worth repairing, and to be honest, it was a lot of fun and a hell of a learning experience. If its a good base to build on, I'd say go f...

I smoke about 10 (give or take) cigs a day. I NEVER smoke in my house or cars, only outside. If you want to dramatically cut down on smoking, that is the perfect way to do it, by not smoking inside. If you want a cig, you have to get up, go outside, and toke away. You'll think twice about it on a co...

^ On that note, mine is paid for. I'm getting out of a house I leased and moving into this trailer in an effort to make myself a little more recession-proof. I can live with a little work to keep this thing up as opposed to the 800 bucks I pay a month to lease this house, which is very cheap for the...

I've been in the PC/IT field for 15 years, vistrash is an absolute abomination of code and bloat. There's no excuse for the resources it sucks up. It will bring good hardware to its knees, quickly!! If you think a system performs well with visturd, toss XP on it and you'll never look back!
