Re: how to light a pilot light
It's turns out my son was trying to light the wrong thing? Now the problem is we got it lit and it was working fine so we left, when my son came home it was out again! Were going back tonight while he's at work and see why it's going out. Any suggestions?

Re: how to light a pilot light
I'll have to get the model number later today (he works 2nd shift) but I do know he can't even get it lit, it keeps blowing out before it lights, he says he can hear the gas when holding the button.

lighting a pilot light part 2
I forgot to say we can't see a thermocoupler, just a flat surface with a hole in it?

how to light a pilot light
My son has a old gas (propane) coleman presidental II, we had the gas turned on about a month ago after being off for several months. They lit the pilot and the furnace has been working fine until now. As far as we can tell the pilot light went out because the fan will work, but following the direct...

help with vents and furnace
Hi, my son has late 70s mh with a coleman presidential 2 furnac/ac, model #768013, the a coil was frozen and we defrosted that and he has been using it and it works fine but now there is water in the vent which I guess runs from there to the back bedroom and bathroom not the other vents. The panel i...

counter top
Rose again! We put a new counter top on top of a new cabinet (just a straight one piece) now I need to know how to affix the counter to the cabinet? I bought both on discount at Hoods so they don't come with anything else like directions or screws.
Thanks,
Rose

RE: different crimp rings and crimpers
We ended up getting some sharkbite fittings, much better than crimping! Since this plumbing is under the kitchen sink in view it will be east to get to but my concern is we used the pb to pex adapter but couldn't use the crimp rings that came with it because of the kind of crimper and rings we had s...

RE: different crimp rings and crimpers
It happened on the pex to fitting connections? I have to look up Oetiker and see if that's the same. These rings don't crimp all the way around just the thing that pinches together at the top. I guess I'll do some more looking and see if that's the same rings. Thanks for the help, I'm sure learning ...

different crimp rings and crimpers
I found a place that rented crimpers to work on some plumbing per instructions from this site, when I picked them up the rings and the crimper are not what was used here, they were the kind that has the piece on top of the rings that the crimper squeezes together and automatically releases when its ...

RE: elec ? for water heater
Thanks Greg, I am going to make some calls today to see about the electric, I was just trying to get an educated guess if this is feasible to do. I'm afraid of electric and gas, that's one of the reasons for switching to elec. heater as opposed to gas.
Thanks,
Rose

Thanks Barb, that seems like a good price, I'll call some mobile home places here in Missouri and see if I can get a quote.

RE: elec ? for water heater
I appreciate that, but we are not doing it ourselves, scares me! I was just wondering if what we are wanting to have done is feasible without costing a fortune.

RE: algae stuff on roof
We're not going to walk on it, you can actually see it from the ground above the gutters and all over the roof as far as I can tell, not insulted at all, we're both brand new to this.
Although I don't think his roof is metal it looks kind of like white plastic material?
Thanks,
Rose

elec ? for water heater
We have decided to replace my son's water heater with an electric one, is there a way to tell if he has enough amps (?) to have a wire ran from the box to the heater? He has 2 together marked dryer with 30 each on them (which he doesn't have right now) He also has one for a dishwasher that he doesn'...
