RE: Tub Drain

Yeah thanks for the info. I did know about the Zip stick as I used it for my sink drain when I had an issue with that. I labeled this thread tub drain but what I meant to say was it's the shower drain. I'm going to try later today with plyers grabbing onto the holes into it and try to turn it and ge...

Tub Drain

How does one take that out? The cover I mean. I tried with a knife yesterday and it won't budge. Trying to get it out in order to get the hair buildup out of the drain because the water is going down too slow. What's the trick?

RE: Removing caulking from a shower

Well you are certainly right Greg. I went home and looked and said to the husband you don't see the screws? The frame is screwed in. I said thanks for making me look like a fool on the mobilehome site. We're good now.

RE: Removing caulking from a shower

Ok I did a search on this forum and saw a suggestion of a heat gun. Here's the thing the door and frame is not screwed in so when the caulking comes off so will the door.

What's the best way to have the door stay in place once we re-caulk I can't imagine standing there holding it for hours??????

Removing caulking from a shower

I have scrubbed and scrubbed the corners where the caulking goes along the shower door. I'm tired of looking at this black built up eyesore that is embedded into the caulking. I want to remove it with a razor knife and re-caulk. I'm just worried about scratching the actual shower. Should I just be c...

Dryer Vent question

The hood piece that is attached to the house on the outside is falling apart and in need of replacement. Are these fairly standard? The husband didn't see one like ours at the last Home Depot trip.

Re: RE: Sink drain

I assume the stopper is the type that is permanently in the sink and operated from above with a rod. If this is the case look under the sink and you will see a connection from that rod into the back of the drain pipe. Unscrew the rod from the drain pipe and remove it. The stopper should now lift ou...

Sink drain

Ok my plumber friend told me the best way to get the hair out of my bathroom sink drain is to take out the drain stopper and jiggle a coat hanger. But I cannot for the life of me pop it out whatsoever. Any suggestions.

RE: WINDOW QUESTION

Thanks for your response guys. Now I have to check to see if I bought a humidifier or dehumidifier that's stored away. I have replaced just about all the windows because they are poor. Just have to replace the 3 in the livingroom and the 2 in the bedroom to be done with this problem. Thanks again!

WINDOW QUESTION

A couple of my windows seem to have a ton of condensation whereby I get puddles on the sill and over time has rotted the wood. Before I put the storm son now I put towels in there to help asorb the moisture.

Any one else experience this? Any suggestions of what to do?

Ceiling water stains

What's the best way to be rid of them? Kilz then paint? Don't have many but I eventually want to paint alot the main room ceilings. They need a fresh coat of White paint. Some areas are yellowish and look like crap.

RE: Covering vents in the winter?

Hi there, New to the site as of today. It's nice to know there's a forum I can go to with all my MH questions. I bought a 1980 MH 4 years ago and sure have learned a lot, but still learning. The vent tape is what I learned last year from the MH service company that I had come to do some plumbing wor...
