RE: Squealing noise from furnace

Robert,

I was looking at the list of parts you gave and the motor you listed looks like it has to many wires.

It looks like it has 6 wires including ground, where my existing motor only has 5 wires including ground.

Thanks

RE: Squealing noise from furnace

Robert, Sorry i have not gotten back sooner but have been very sick past few days. Now as far as my problem,i did not pay attention to whether the motor was hot or not, and the fan seems to spin fairly easy. Never known for motors to have play in the bearings. I have not had the same problem since i...

Squealing noise from furnace

I was woke up early this morning by a squealing noise coming from the furnace, when i went to check i noticed you could hit the the blower housing a little bit and it would quite. But you could still hear it doing it a little bit - sometimes barely, sometimes really loud and sometimes not at all. I s...

RE: Heating elements won't turn off.

Robert, Just to give you an update, yes the element on the top string in the back was touching the frame. So i bent them back up plus a little extra. All though I found it easier to remove the elements instead of the blower. Are there any ceramic fittings that i can add to the frame to prevent this i...

RE: Heating elements won't turn off.

Robert, I got the sequencer and limit switches like you suggested and it's doing the same thing. As soon as i turn the power back on the elements start glowing and the fan will not run. When i turned the power back on the t-stat was set to off it was not on heat or cool. What do i need to check next...

RE: Heating elements won't turn off.

Robert, After more reading i noticed that the heating elements do have limit switches. So let me describe the problem i am having. When i came home from work yesterday i noticed it was extremely hot inside and the t-stat said it was 85 degrees, it is set at 70 degrees. I went to check the furnace an...
